Captain America: The First Avenger & Side-kick

It looks like the people behind the cameras at Captain America: The First Avenger, have picked out another actor to work in front on the cameras.

Word is that Sebastian Stan has been cast as Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier in the upcoming movie and is signed on for possible sequels and perhaps even The Avengers!

What makes this choice interesting is that Stan had auditioned for the role of Steve Rogers/ Captain America but was passed over for Chris Evans. He must have made an impression though, and he does have that superhero look to him.

There's also a rumor that Emily Blunt was offered the role of Steve Rogers' girlfriend Peggy Carter but because of other interests may turn it down. She also turned down the part of Black Widow in Iron Man 2 which is leading some people to wonder whether or not she hates Marvel or just really wants to be Wonder Woman.

Either way it will be Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan side by side kicking some Nazi backside in Captain America: The First Avenger in theaters everywhere July 22, 2011.

Casting News - Stanley Tucci Added!

Marvel has announced another cast member for the Captain America movie.

Stanley Tucci will be playing Dr. Abraham Erskine. It’s Dr. Erskine who develops that the Super Soldier serum that turns Steve Rogers into Captain America.

Tucci is a great name to add to an already awesome cast. I’m pumped for more information to come about The First Avenger!

Captan America Poster Released!

This poster has been seen online as a teaser for the Mavel comics movie, Captain America: The First Avenger.

So far this is what we know about the movie:

Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, The Losers) is set to play Steve Rogers aka Captain America.

Samuel L. Jackson (Iron Man 2, Thor) will be in the flick playing Nick Fury as he has for all of the new generation Marvel movies.

Marvel is betting on Captain America big time as it is launching in the summer of 2011 with a lot of other blockbusters.

The First Avenger will tell the origin story of Steve Rogers and the super soldier program that makes him Captain America.

The villain for the movie will be German bad guy Red Skull (Hugo Weaving), the arch nemesis of Captain America.

I’m jacked for this movie, which should be no surprise, and look forward to more info. I promise to pass it along.
